Ken, and his wife Tiffany, felt called to begin Heritage Christian Academy in the fall of 2024. They long to see the truths of the gospel taught to the next generation and the values of the gospel – how to live in light of the gospel – transferred as well. Ken serves as the senior pastor of Mercy Hill Community Church, the church that helped birth Heritage. Ken has his master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, is a qualified nuclear engineer through the United States Navy, is a Professional Engineer, and is a graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College. He has taught numerous college level courses in engineering, science, and philosophy. Ken and Tiffany have seven children, four of whom are high school graduates, and three of whom will be attending Heritage this coming fall!
Jessica Derrick is a passionate educator with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and ACSI certification. She has been teaching in the classroom for six years and previously homeschooled for eight years. As a dedicated wife and mother of five, she values the integration of faith and learning, seeking to nurture both the hearts and minds of her students. Jessica is an active member of Mercy Hill Community Church, where she serves as a worship leader and supports her husband in ministry. She loves the gospel and its transformative power in every aspect of life.
